Labor Doula Support
The birth of your baby is a life-changing event and a time you will remember for the rest of your life. Having the support of one of our birth doulas will have a profoundly positive impact on both your birth and the memories you’ll care with you about that special day throughout your life.
Postpartum Doula Support
Doulas of Berks County offers skilled and experienced postpartum doula services to ease the transition as you welcome your baby or babies (we are experienced in the care of multiples, too!) into your home. Your doula can anticipate your needs and put your mind at ease, freeing you to enjoy your new addition, have a little self care time or even get some well-deserved sleep. Our postpartum doulas are experts in meeting both you, your baby and your family’s needs.
Breastfeeding Support
Whether you’re planning to exclusively breastfeed or combo feed, our Certified Lactation Counselors are prepared to support you as you achieve your breastfeeding goals. Our CLC’s can assess baby’s latch, educate you on the breast crawl and early feeding cues to help you achieve your ultimate breastfeeding experience and help you troubleshoot any milk supply or breastfeeding challenges you may be experiencing. Having the support of a Certified Lactation Counselor is proven to lead to better breastfeeding outcomes. So if breastfeeding is something you’re considering or if it’s something that’s very important to you already, allow one of our CLC’s to guide you along the way.
In-home or Virtual Classes
You’ve taken the hospital class, but you’re still feeling a little unsure? Allow us to educate you on all things birth, breastfeeding and postpartum and cover what they didn’t during your hospital class, in the comfort of your own home and with plenty of time to answer your specific questions.
All of our classes are taught by Certified Childbirth Educators and are either In-Home or Virtual, depending on your preference. Whether it be Childbirth Education, Preparing for Breastfeeding or Infant Care classes, we have you covered and will guide you into your birth, breastfeeding and newborn experiences feeling empowered and fully-confident!
Placenta Encapsulation
We are proud to provide in-home Placenta Encapsulation Services to our clients. All our are encapsulation specialists are ProDoula trained and certified and are held to the highest standards in the industry.
