Meet Lauren Cordon

Hi, I’m Lauren. Becoming a birth and postpartum doula wasn’t something I stumbled into by accident — it’s a calling that grew out of both personal experiences and a deep passion for supporting people.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve always been drawn to caring for others. I spent countless hours reading, researching, and learning about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum recovery long before I officially began my doula training. What struck me most was how many families felt unprepared, unsupported, or unheard during their birth journeys — and I knew I wanted to change that in my own community.

I trained through Childbirth International and later became a Pennsylvania Certified Perinatal Doula because I believe every family deserves compassionate, evidence-based, and nonjudgmental support. I love walking alongside parents as they prepare for birth, helping them feel informed and confident, and being that steady, calming presence when labor begins. Postpartum work is equally close to my heart — I’ve seen firsthand how overwhelming those early weeks can feel, and I find so much joy in helping families settle in, rest, and truly bond with their baby.

What I love most about this work is the connection. Every family I serve teaches me something new about strength, love, and resilience. I get to witness raw, beautiful moments — from the first cries of a newborn to the quiet sighs of a mother finally finding rest. It’s a privilege I don’t take lightly.

A little about me beyond my doula work: I’m a community member of Berks County, and when I’m not supporting families, you’ll probably find me baking, gardening, trying new cuisines, or spending time with friends and family. Balance and self-care are important to me, too, because they help me show up fully for the families I serve.
